ROBBIE Simpson made history at the 2018 Inverness Half Marathon after he broke the course record which had stood for 25 years.
The Deeside Runners athlete crossed the finish line in a time of 64 minutes and 27 seconds which beat the previous record set by Peter Fleming in 1993 by five seconds.
The time also marked a personal best for Simpson who will be representing Scotland at the Commonwealth Games in April.
In the women's race, Katie White of Garscube Harriers took the women’s title winning in a time of 75 minutes and 58 seconds.
