THE National Lottery's hunt for a Highland EuroMillions winner of a £1 million prize is over.
The winner has claimed the prize from a special draw on February 23 when a total of 25 millionaires were made across Europe as part of a bonus raffle draw, with five winning tickets bought in the UK.
One of these was bought in the Highland Council area, and unless the winner opts to take full publicity, no further information will be released about their win.
Andy Carter, National Lottery's senior winners’ adviser, said: “We’re delighted that the winner of this amazing prize has now come forward and we hope that they will enjoy their win. It would have been awful if the ticket-holder had missed out on this life-changing amount of money. We would like to remind all National Lottery players to check their tickets every time they play.”
