No - Most people who have to work for a living do not get their rent or mortgage paid so why should the fire chief or anybody else in a top job? If they don't get paid enough be like others and get a second job. We pay over the odds in Council Tax so why should we have an added burden? D. Collier, Golspie
No - I firmly believe all business interests of the directors of Caledonian Productions Ltd SHOULD be included with any, and all Rock 4 Life stories. In fact, it could be viewed as difficult to separate them, certainly as far as No. 27 is concerned. From the files at Companies House, this is given as the registered address of Caledonian Productions Ltd, along with Grant Skinner and Tobias Leask as directors and dated 17/11/2009. If Grant Skinner has chosen to have his solicitor to write that letter to the HN, it seems to me you have got very close to touching a raw nerve. This nerve seems to be what me, other ticket buyers and general opinion thinks, i.e. everything is all too convenient in terms of timing. It may be coincidence but I'm sorry I don't believe in them, and I've no doubts at all that his other business interests are also run as limited companies. If everything is all above board why the reluctance to answer emails and letters? Nick
No - Seems to me some licensee's want to have their cake and eat it. What right do any of these people - who appear to be well versed in the art of excessive overcharging - have in deciding where we should purchase our alcoholic beverages? It seems perverse that they themselves are not averse to avail themselves of the very thing they are attempting to stamp out. It is hypocritical of them to bulk buy in the supermarkets - which allows them to considerably increase their profit margins - yet, in their reasoning, it is "not cricket" for consumers to spend less on their purchases. Walter Gray
Yes - Many patients who present to hospital require re-hydration. This enables the body cells to repair, and reproduce. This, in turn, allows wound healing to take place and building of the immune system. The best source for this is in naturally found water. Lucozade is very high in sugar which will give you a "high" for a short period of time only when you then hit a "low". This can be very damaging for your blood sugars and energy levels as your body keeps on looking for that sustained energy. As it is also fizzy, this can disturb the gut, leading to increased indigestion, abdominal distention and in patients who have had abdominal surgery can lead to slowed peristalsis or movement of the gut. In essence no fizzy/highly sugared drinks should be drunk if you are a patient in hospital. James Milne
Go - Statistics since he took over again do not make pretty reading, and when you consider his experience at Dundee United before that, it shows up even worse. Craig Brewster is like a goldfish in the Atlantic - lost with what to do and the directions to take in order to survive, not to mention forgettable that what he said one week, has been said over and over again with extremely little, if not zero evidence that shows he is capable of keeping afloat! As a long serving fan of ICT, I find it a disgrace that the board should have faith in someone who is demolishing in a space of months, what took over a decade and a half to achieve! Rob Wilson
Yes - I think that CCTV should be mandatory, it could help prosecute wrongdoers, as well as protect the public from the driver who takes advantage either geographically or personally, so it could help both. John Hanley
Yes - The Highlands have produced some of Scotland's outstanding cyclists in the past against all the odds with having to travel to train and compete. The velopark would bring even more people into cycling. ivorreid12
Yes - This road is a nightmare at any time of the year, but especially in Summer because of cars towing caravans, slow driving lorries and others who are in a hurry to get somewhere and anywhere fast! It's both frightening and stressful for anyone. It should therefore be made a dual carriageway and fast, especially as the city of Inverness continues to expand and expand! What planet is the Government on? Gavin Wood
No - It's a disgrace the way Mr Brewster has treated Dennis and I feel he should go as he is losing the dressing room and has made Dennis a scapegoat for the teams recent poor form. Kevin Todd
No - I think these poll results should be classed as representative of public views as a whole - especially when there is such a high percentage against certain local issues. Something must be done to halt this outrageous abuse of public trust. If we have a surplus of public funds should the majority not decide what the money is best allocated to. I think this proposed spend on a museum is a step that only rank stupidity would countenance. Fireworks; Statues etc etc. NO MORE! We should call a halt to this lunacy NOW. Helen Hamilton
No - I think it is shocking to read that Highland Council have agreed to spend £250,000 on a fireworks display - all that money going up in smoke when there is really a lot more that it could be spent on. The A82 is in a dreadful state with so many lives lost on it every year, taxpayers money could and should be put to so much better use. James Donaldson, 6 Glenloy Street, Caol
No - Richie Hart shouldn't get sacked by Caley for the drug conviction. How many of us have done regrettably stupid things? This was a one off, a mistake. Surely Hart should be allowed a second chance? If we were in the same position we would want a second chance too. His career is on the line and he is very unlikely to be that foolish again. Most people in that position may have managed to pick themselves up, dust themselves down and continue, wiser (after the event) with their lives and jobs. The media makes this harder for Hart. Yes a drug conviction is serious, that is not to be disputed - but surely this great player deserves a second chance? Donna F
No - It's just outrageous. How will a landlord know a soldier from a member of the public? How will he/she know if the person is a soldier or a visitor to your fine city? It's just mad and a waste of tax money. Jim Melville
Yes - Apart from the fact that at hugely excessive speeds 3rd parties will have less opportunity to avoid having an accident (probably fatal) with such a missile these drivers are usually aggressive impatient & probably more prone to road rage as they're the types who usually get frustrated with ordinary law abiding citizens who drive within speed limits. The only way to correct this behaviour is a period of 'reflection' at HM's pleasure. David MacBean
No - It is an absolute travesty that this beautiful building should be turned into a pub by greedy developers. Inverness is already awash with licenced premises. The fact that they have already been given approval for a pub in the first place is almost unbelievable, I say almost as nothing is surprising in decisions made by licencing committees. We can look forward to more customers at the A&E department in Raigmore. J.M. Balintore
Yes - I don't work because of chronic illness and there is no way I can afford to travel to Inverness to see a film because I am unable to get transport back home to Tain and then there is the cost. Duncan Campbell
