Has Dennis Wyness been treated fairly by ICT?
Published:  24 March, 2008

No - It's a disgrace the way Mr Brewster has treated Dennis and I feel he should go as he is losing the dressing room and has made Dennis a scapegoat for the teams recent poor form. Kevin Todd

No - To be treated like this is beyond belief. Over the years he has been a great servant to this club and because Brewster thinks it would be better to take the contract off the table and wait till the end of the season Dennis is kept waiting like some sort of school boy. Well I am sorry he should be treated better than this. Mr Brewster needs to take a long hard look at himself and stop being what I can only describe as a bully. Dennis has a young family to think of, he is settled in the area and is very well respected by the vast majority of ICT fans, who want him to stay. Derek Hay

No - Dennis has been treated very unfairly. The management have treated him like this in the past. Who are they trying to make the scapegoat? Unhappy Fan

No - Having been told on Thursday that he could sign on Friday, which did not happen due to no fault of his, and then be told on Monday the offer was off the table is absolutely scandalous. He will get himself signed up elsewhere if he has any sense. Finlay MacKay

No - Dennis has been made a scapegoat for Craig Brewster's inadequacies as a manager. Can Brewster not remember back when the team were playing well Wyness was one of their best players, and if it wasn't for that time the team would be fighting relegation with Gretna. Paul Davidson

No - I am disgusted at the treatment Dennis received this week. It would seem to be through no fault of his that his new contract, which had I believe been agreed for some time, was not signed before the Falkirk game. To withdraw it at this stage seems very harsh. I wouldn't have been so angry if they hadn't offered him a contract, and although I would have been disappointed I could have accepted that. To offer a contract, and negotiate until an agreement has been reached and then withdraw the offer at the 11th hour seems very unprofessional to me. Laura Grant

Should £15m of public money be spent on a new museum and art gallery in Inverness?
Published:  03 December, 2007

No - I think these poll results should be classed as representative of public views as a whole - especially when there is such a high percentage against certain local issues. Something must be done to halt this outrageous abuse of public trust. If we have a surplus of public funds should the majority not decide what the money is best allocated to. I think this proposed spend on a museum is a step that only rank stupidity would countenance. Fireworks; Statues etc etc. NO MORE! We should call a halt to this lunacy NOW. Helen Hamilton

Does Inverness need another Tesco?
Published:  30 November, 2007

No - I believe having a choice is very important. If I don't want to shop in Tesco where am I meant to go? It is potentially very dangerous. TahaMh

Should £250,000 be spent on fireworks at the Highland 2007 finale?
Published:  07 November, 2007

No - I think it is shocking to read that Highland Council have agreed to spend £250,000 on a fireworks display - all that money going up in smoke when there is really a lot more that it could be spent on. The A82 is in a dreadful state with so many lives lost on it every year, taxpayers money could and should be put to so much better use. James Donaldson, 6 Glenloy Street, Caol

Should Caley Thistle sack Richie Hart after his cocaine conviction?
Published:  16 October, 2007

No - Richie Hart shouldn't get sacked by Caley for the drug conviction. How many of us have done regrettably stupid things? This was a one off, a mistake. Surely Hart should be allowed a second chance? If we were in the same position we would want a second chance too. His career is on the line and he is very unlikely to be that foolish again. Most people in that position may have managed to pick themselves up, dust themselves down and continue, wiser (after the event) with their lives and jobs. The media makes this harder for Hart. Yes a drug conviction is serious, that is not to be disputed - but surely this great player deserves a second chance? Donna F

Should soldiers have special ID cards for Inverness bars?
Published:  09 October, 2007

No - It's just outrageous. How will a landlord know a soldier from a member of the public? How will he/she know if the person is a soldier or a visitor to your fine city? It's just mad and a waste of tax money. Jim Melville

Should ton-up dangerous drivers be jailed?
Published:  04 September, 2007

Yes - Apart from the fact that at hugely excessive speeds 3rd parties will have less opportunity to avoid having an accident (probably fatal) with such a missile these drivers are usually aggressive impatient & probably more prone to road rage as they're the types who usually get frustrated with ordinary law abiding citizens who drive within speed limits. The only way to correct this behaviour is a period of 'reflection' at HM's pleasure. David MacBean

Was Charlie Christie right to resign?
Published:  22 August, 2007

Yes - He was right to resign because Charlie would only have done this if he felt he had no choice. Linda Cope

Should drinking tables be allowed outside city centre bars?
Published:  14 August, 2007

No - It is an absolute travesty that this beautiful building should be turned into a pub by greedy developers. Inverness is already awash with licenced premises. The fact that they have already been given approval for a pub in the first place is almost unbelievable, I say almost as nothing is surprising in decisions made by licencing committees. We can look forward to more customers at the A&E department in Raigmore. J.M. Balintore

Would you buy an illegal DVD copy of a movie?
Published:  03 July, 2007

Yes - I don't work because of chronic illness and there is no way I can afford to travel to Inverness to see a film because I am unable to get transport back home to Tain and then there is the cost. Duncan Campbell

Published:  24 May, 2007

Yes - The police seem more interested in spending their day trying to hide and catch the motorists!!!! Barry Allan
