Late call-off drama for County

Victoria Park Stadium will have to host Morton later this season after Tuesday's postponement.

TORRENTIAL downpours washed away Ross County's Irn Bru Division One fixture at home to Morton last night - less than an hour before kick-off.

However, the disappointment was eased somewhat by the end of the evening when chasers Falkirk and Dundee drew 1-1.

This means County are two points clear of Falkirk and five points ahead of Dundee - with three games in hand now.

Morton boss Allan Moore agreed with County manager Derek Adams that the correct call was made at 7pm on Tuesday, with puddles evident on several areas of the Victoria Park pitch.

The Greenock side boarded their bus and seemed as gutted as the County camp as the rain continued to fall steadily in Dingwall.

The Staggies' focus now switches to Saturday's fixture away to chasers Dundee at Dens Park.
