CALEY Thistle manager Terry Butcher is understood to have been offered the hot-seat at English Championship strugglers Barnsley.
The 54-year-old former England and Rangers captain, who has been in charge at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium for four years, has been talking to ICT chairman Kenny Cameron about the offer.
It's thought that the deal on the table would see the boss, who has steered ICT to second in the SPL this season, along with a Scottish League Cup semi-final, be a big financial boost.
Barnsley are bottom of England's second tier, but far from cut adrift and Butcher may well fancy this challenge, especially if he can be joined by assistant Maurice Malpas.
However, he has stated as recently as last week that he's happy in the Highlands and is delighted with the squad's performance this season.
A decision is expected within the next 24 hours.
