THE future of Fort William Football Club is in grave doubt after its committee failed to appoint a new chairman and secretary at their annual general meeting last night (Wednesday).
An extraordinary general meeting (EGM) will now be held later this month, at which the key roles must be filled or the Highland League club will have to fold.
FORT William finished their Highland League season with a 4-0 defeat at Formartine United on Friday.
Danny Conlon's side ended a hugely disappointing campaign bottom of the table with just seven points from 34 games and will be glad to get the rest as the club regroups with its annual general meeting looming.

FORT William lost 1-0 against Formartine United in a Bank Holiday Monday Highland League fixture at Claggan Park.
Following on from Saturday's 3-0 home defeat by Inverurie Locos, Fort boss Danny Conlon will be delighted that his side didn't cave in after losing the only goal of the game after just six minutes.
