CLACH boss Iain Polworth arranged two bounce games this week in a bid to "shake off the rustiness" following yet another Highland League postponement.
The Lilywhites were due to face Strathspey Thistle at Seafield Park on Saturday, but in one of only two call-offs, a frozen pitch saw Clach sit out another matchday.
Since their 6-0 home win against Fort William on December 23, the Inverness side have had seven league fixtures beaten by the wintry weather and they will hope that the milder conditions will see their home match against Rothes get the green light.
Polworth said: "We’ve set up two bounce games this week just against local amateur sides because after so long without a game training becomes repetitive.
"We’re now all focused on Rothes this weekend because this will be a really difficult one for us. We’ve had them watched and, although they lost 3-0 against (new league leaders) Cove, they held out until the 73rd minute before conceding, so that shows they have something about them.
"They have a very good young team, who will be coming here looking for a result, so hopefully our bounce games can help in that regard.
"We won 3-2 at Rothes in October, but that will count for nothing on Saturday and we’ll have to be at our best to get a result. Fingers crossed the weather will be fine and we can play this one."
