A woman was taken to hospital after a blaze broke out at her home in St Valery Avenue
A WOMAN was taken to Raigmore Hospital after a blaze broke out in her Inverness home last night.
Three fire crews were called to her mid-terraced two storey home in St Valery Avenue in Dalneigh just after 5pm to tackle the fire.
An ambulance also attended at the scene, and the woman, who has not been named, was taken to Raigmore hospital for observation.
A spokesperson for the fire service said the bedroom of the house was destroyed by fire.
She said: "There was 100 per cent smoke and fire damage to the bedroom and there was smoke damage to the first floor also."
There is no suspicious circumstances surrounding the fire.
