POLICE in Inverness are appealing for witnesses following a number of incidents of vandalism in the city.

During the early hours of last Thursday, July 12, several cars were damaged in the Hilton area of Inverness.

Windscreens, windows and wing mirrors were all damaged.

Police are keen to trace a man seen on Tomatin Road, going towards Oldtown Road about 1am that morning.

The man is described as late teens/early 20’s, of slim build, between 5ft2in and 5ft7in, who has short brown hair and was wearing a black shirt and dark coloured trousers.

Meanwhile, during the early hours on Sunday damage was caused to a number of motor cars and a window of a business in the Dalneigh/city centre area of Inverness.

Police are also keen to trace a man seen on Wells Street going onto the Friars Bridge about 2.30am that morning.

The man is described as slim build, about 6ft, with dark hair wearing a light grey waterproof type jacket with a "Vodaphone" symbol on the back, and was also wearing jeans and trainers.
