 POLICE in Inverness are appealing for information following an accident on the A9 last night.

Two vehicles were involved in a collision on the northbound dual carriageway section at Daviot at about 9.10pm.

A red Renault Scenic and a silver Nissan Navara pick-up were involved in the accident.

The occupants of the Renault – two men aged 25 and 27 – were taken to Raigmore Hospital with serious injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

The occupants of the Nissan –  two men aged 29 and 46 – sustained minor injuries.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to contact them on 101 quoting reference NN23462/17.
