New flats will transform Inverness city centre

TWO major developments which could revitalise Inverness city centre look set to be given the go-ahead next week.

Plans for student flats in Rose Street and 60 apartments at the former swimming pool site in Glebe Street will be decided on Tuesday, and have been recommended for approval by council officials.

Inverness Properties wants to create a 100-bedroom student accommodation block in Rose Street, which would involve the demolition of the former Rose Street hall and neighbouring two-storey car park.
