A TASTE of Essex will be coming to Nairn at the end of this month when reality TV star Lauren Pope is the guest DJ at a glitzy star studded event.
The Only Way Is Essex star is booked to perform at the red carpet bash which is being hosted by Nairn man Christian Macleod to launch his designer golf brand to the fashion and golf industry
And it is rumoured that busty glamour girl Katie Price will be attending the event alongside hairdresser to the stars Mikey Kardashian who will be styling the models for the cat walk show.
Mikey, Katie and Lauren have regularly been snapped partying together at various star-studded events and Nairn Community Centre is the unlikely venue for the latest.
Twenty-year-old Christian has pulled in the celebs for his showcase and confirmed Lauren and Mikey are attending. Although said he had heard rumours about Katie Price, he remained tight-lipped about what other celebrities may attend at the do on October 19.
He told the HN: "I have heard that Katie Price may be coming, but I can’t confirm anything. It would be a great buzz for everyone if she came. I have a few other well known faces from the golfing world, from the fashion industry and hopefully other celebrities coming too."
Christian, who is studying a PGA golf degree at Birmingham University and also works at Fairways for Inverness Golf Centre, explained why he wanted to launch his own fashion range. "I am a golf pro by trade and I am into fashion – I just saw a gap in the market.
"Golf wear is a bit dated and I thought I could do better, so decided to give it a go and see how it went. I got my logo and at first I did hoodies and sold them to people at uni. It started from there and just progressed.
"The first design concept is called 21st Century Signature and features both mens and ladies fashion."
He said he decided to hold the event in Nairn because the community centre was the only place he could customise inside and out.
"I can customise it the way I like it, I wasn’t able to do that with a hotel. The community centre will look totally different, I will be able to completely change the shape of the hall."
The Popsmiths, who have played an number of celebrity weddings and have also gigged with Robbie Williams and played for Prince Charles at Windsor Castle, will also be performing.
