Have a heart and back the challenge

THE Highland News Group has teamed up with the Heartbeat Challenge to help raise vital funds for cardiac care in the Highlands.

It's a charity that is close to the Highland News Group's own heart as we spearheaded a major campaign to raise over £1 million to build the Highland Heartbeat Centre, a purpose-built cardiac facility at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness which opened in 2005. The centre helps to rehabilitate people who have suffered from a range of coronary illnesses.

Money raised through the Heartbeat Challenge will go towards buying much needed equipment for the unit.

Over the last four years, the family-friendly challenge has raised £55,000 and this year we want to raise even more.
