MBNA balance transfer card still a market leader

WHEN it comes to offering exceptional credit card deals; MBNA usually lead the way and with their 0% Balance Transfer credit cards, they've been in that position for quite a while.

Ever since the new credit card launch last year; the card has offered a great deal to financial consumers and has become very popular as a result. With 0% on balance transfers for 16 months it's clearly one of the best products available for managing a balance, add to this 3 months 0% on purchases and it becomes a useable card with great features.

Do a credit card comparison to see even the standard rate of interest is good, sitting at a below-market average of 16.7% APR (typical) variable and with a balance transfer fee of just 2.88% it becomes clear this is a great all rounder.

Speaking about the card on the MBNA website, Will Curley, product executive for Bank of America Europe Card Services, who own the MBNA brand, said: "Our customers tell us they are looking for better offers in the market, and that is what we are delivering."

"We are constantly searching for new ways to bring more choice, simplicity and value to all that we do, including delivering a suite of products that offer real value for customers."

The card on its own is a winner but when you combine it with MBNA's shift to a positive order of payment (where high interest balances are paid off first) the simple credit card application process and their new contactless technology, you have quite the package.
