YOUR HIGHNESS is an "olde worlde" fantasy tale of a royal rescue quest with cheek and charm.
Two princes – slacker Thadeous (Danny McBride) and his high-achieving brother Fabious (James Franco), who haven’t always seen eye to eye, are united on a quest. They must save Fabio’s beautiful, yet hilariously-ignorant bride-to-be (Zooey Deschanel) from the clutches of an over-the-top evil wizard.
Thadeous would much prefer to spend his days smoking weed and stroking his ego, but the king threatens to banish him from the kingdom if he can’t prove himself on this mission.
With a rich array of very funny sidekicks, this humdrum plot is brought to life. Think of this as the fully-loaded adult version of classic kids’ film The Princess Bride.
Natalie Portman arrives in the form of a feisty warrior who whips Thadeous into shape and provides a love interest.
Your Highness is outrageous and recommended for those with a bit of a blue sense of humour. SC
